Privacy policy
Last updated: September 17, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how RoMobileApps("we", "us") handles information in connection with the Little Napper app for Android (package com.rma.sounds) and the website at littlenapper.app. The app is made for parents and used next to sleeping babies; we collect as little as we can.
The short version
- No account, no sign-up. You never enter a name, email or password.
- Your recordings stay on your phone. Voice recordings are stored only in the app's private storage on your device and are never uploaded, analysed or shared. Uninstalling the app deletes them.
- No microphone use except when you record. The microphone is used only while the Record screen is capturing, after you grant the permission. Nothing listens in the background.
- Anonymous usage analytics and crash reports help us see which sounds and features are used and fix bugs. They contain no names, no recording content and no search text.
- Ads keep the app free. Google AdMob shows a small banner and, rarely, a full-screen ad — never while a sound is playing and never at night. Ad personalisation follows the consent choice you make in the app.
What the app stores on your device
Settings (theme, default timer, fade-out, loop, volume), your favourites, the metadata of your recordings (name, duration, date) and the audio files themselves. All of it stays in the app's private storage on your phone. It is not backed up to our servers; Android's own backup may include it according to your device settings.
Analytics and crash reporting
We use Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics. Analytics records events such as "a sound was played", "the timer was set to 30 minutes" or "onboarding completed", with the sound's catalogue id and coarse device information (model, OS version, country, app version). A recording is reported only as "recording", never by its name. Search queries are not sent. Crashlytics records stack traces and device state when the app crashes so we can fix it.
Analytics collection starts only after the consent gate on first launch has resolved, and follows Google's Consent Mode: if you decline in the consent form, analytics storage and ad personalisation are set to denied.
Advertising
Little Napper is ad-supported through Google AdMob. AdMob and its partners may use your device's advertising ID and coarse location (derived from IP) to serve and measure ads. In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland the app shows Google's consent form on first launch and you can choose to receive personalised or non-personalised ads; in US states with privacy laws you can opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. Your choice can be changed at any time in Settings → Privacy options. Ads are requested with a maximum content rating suitable for a general audience and with audio muted. See how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
Third-party services
- Google AdMob and the Google User Messaging Platform (consent) — Google privacy policy
- Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics — Firebase privacy
- Google Play Services (in-app review, install attribution)
The website uses Vercel Analytics (cookieless, aggregated page views) and Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymisation. No advertising runs on the website.
Data retention
Analytics and crash data are retained by Google for the default periods of those services (up to 14 months for analytics event data, 90 days for crash data). Everything the app stores on your device is deleted when you uninstall it or clear its data.
Children
The app is made for parents and caregivers, not for children, and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Ad requests are sent with a maximum content rating of T and with the sensitive categories AdMob allows us to block.
Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. Because we hold no account and no personal data on our side, most of these rights are exercised on your device: change your consent in Settings → Privacy options, reset your advertising ID in Android's settings, or uninstall the app. For anything else, email us.
Changes to this policy
We will post any changes on this page and update the date at the top. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
